Huamán Instillery Collective

Wine Box Social (WBS) makes an impact on our local community by promoting Diversity & Inclusion in all aspects of what we do. As Black, Indigenous & People of Colour (BIPOC) are seldomly seen within the Ontario beverage alcohol industry, we are immensely proud to be a small, but meaningful, example of hope for other BIPOC individuals within, or thinking of entering, the Ontario beverage alcohol industry!

Through our Huamán Instillery Collective, our vision is to contribute a portion of our profits towards scholarships in support of obtaining professional beverage alcohol certifications and/or accreditations, for individuals:

  • pursuing a career within the Ontario beverage alcohol industry,
  • demonstrating the need for financial assistance, and
  • identifying as Black, Indigenous, and/or People of Colour (BIPOC).

This collective is proudly named to pay homage to our founder's indigenous family heritage. The name Huamán is one of the most well-known Quechuan surnames stemming from pre-hispanic Peru, which translates to "hawk" or "falcon" in the indigenous Quechua language.

Details on future scholarship opportunities will be announced, as available, on our Instragram and/or LinkedIn social media accounts.
